Over the last week Stuart Fl. fishing charters have shown lots of variety. Sailfish, dolphin, cobia, kingfish, and even a few wahoo have been our target species and have been pretty cooperative. Its been a pretty mild winter, and although that's not good for targeting sailfish, it has seemed to get spring off to an early start. Over the last few charters this week we've started to mix it up a little. We've been starting the days trolling, using two double dredges, a squid chain "off the chain" and four or five naked ballyhoo on high speed fin nor reels with 15 lb test. After locating the fish and finding a good place to stop, we've been putting the kites up and fishing with live bait using the same tackle.

Great sailfish, and dolphin charters out of Stuart Fl.

We've been catching between two and five sails a trip along with a few dolphin up to 15 lbs. and some lunker kings. Unfortunately, we've only caught one of the three wahoo bites we've had this past week since we are still using mono leaders and circle hooks. There is also an early showing of cobia taking place the last couple of days. We've tried stopping at a few places on the way out and in, but we haven't spent much time waiting for them since sailfish are what our charters have wanted this week.

Already looking forward to the cobia and permit fishing coming up in a couple months, and the yellowfin tuna charters will be kicking off April 1.

Stuart Fl. "the sailfish capital of the world" is located mid state on the East Coast and offers great deep sea fishing charters near Orlando, Tampa, and Palm Beach.
